Who's Arturo Solari?

Artist born in 1969.

Independently formed, he has learned and worked in several ateliers and workshops of artists and teachers in Mexico, Spain and Italy.

He studied a short time at the Institute of Visual Arts in Puebla, Mexico and the Barcelona Deputation Arts and Crafts School in Spain.

Apart from painting, he has worked with other techniques such as engraving, silk screening, ceramics and tapestry.

Solari has presented more than 60 solo and group exhibitions on numerous countries. His work is part of public and private collections on various countries of Europe and the Americas as well as in India and Japan.

His work has a strong autobiographical sense and at the same time it may have a spiritual inspiration or a critical/reflective intention. This intention relates to the application of Art as an instrument for the transformation of consciousness and society.

He has made various pictorial projects, murals and artistic works in collaboration with children and Art students.

He has taught meditation and creative workshops for inmates in penitentiary centers, substance abusers, HIV-AIDS ill, migrants, adults in literacy, women victims of violence, elderly, children and teenagers with personality disorders, etc.

Besides from his pictorial activity, Arturo Solari is a Specialist in Transdisciplinary Art Therapy (ISPA Institute, Barcelona), Expressive Arts Educational Facilitator (Salve Regina University, Rhode Island, USA) and studies Social Education (UNED, Girona).

He currently promotes creativity and the arts and works as an art therapist and specialist in artistic expression.
